Field Monitor (Supervisory Position)

Polished Pebbles is seeking a Field Monitor to manage all field operations for the success of the Polished Pebbles In-School Mentoring and Community Based Programs. The Field Monitor manages a highly engaged group of facilitators, focused on creating unique and enriching experiences for the students served by Polished Pebbles. The Field Monitor will ensure seamless team management, program delivery, quality control, data monitoring and facilitation evaluation while also establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and servicing institutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Team Leadership & Development

  • Implement a professional development program to address employee experience and skill gaps.
  • Work with Leadership to develop objective performance measurements for Facilitators to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all employees.
  • Instill a sense of accountability among team members by modeling oversight of individual and organizational performance standards.
  • Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, interviewing, and selecting new team members.
  • Trains new facilitators on compliance, reporting, school communications, and relationship building as required by leadership.

Program Operations

  • Manages the data collection for student participants and ensures data is compiled into an operational summary as required by assigned Grants and PP Leadership.
  • Effectively onboard all new schools and maintain the relationship and operation of the schools that receive our programming.
  • Ensure Polished Pebbles program sites are meeting all required objectives by ensuring the logistics of program sites are functioning appropriately.
  • Create a continuous quality improvement plan for meeting program objectives and evaluation outcomes aligned with PP’s strategic plan.
  • Manages the Master School Sessions Calendar with facilitators and partners across all programs.
  • Establishes and maintains a healthy relationship with all school partners, can provide key stakeholders with the relationship status at any time (Wins, Successes, Challenges, etc), and provides regular updates to the leadership.
  • Effectively employ and oversee the necessary databases to ensure full compliance with the Operations Manager’s directives. Collaborate with existing systems and propose enhancements to them following their utilization and assessment.
  • Generate compliance reports to show programming impact, successes, and areas for improvement with the leadership team, grant writer, and evaluation teams.
  • Reviews, audits, and processes payroll on time as required, notifying HR and Accounting of discrepancies and policy violations.
  • Partners with Marketing in scheduling and coordinating Job Shadow events during school sessions and in summer.

  • Effective listening skills to understand various perspectives and the ability to synthesize findings to achieve results.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Preferred majors include education, human services, psychology, social work, or related fields.
  • 5-7 years of experience in youth development programming, youth group facilitation, school or youth program coordinator, teaching of training youth and adults, case management to adolescents, academic/career/financial aid advisement to college students, or implementing job readiness programming
  • Experience working with girls from a variety of communities, specifically those who live in urban communities and first-generation college students
  • Experience conducting classroom/program observations
  • Experience working both independently and as an active team member with a strong interest in and willingness to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Communication skills should include strong verbal and written communication, strong listening and mediation skills, with a high level of empathy, non-judgment, and ability to create a culture of accountability, along with superb public speaking and facilitation skills
  • Detailed-oriented with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Seeks continuous improvement and feedback
